The Vietnam National Youth Forum on Human Trafficking and Migration -- 26 – 27 August 2010

The Vietnam National Youth Forum on Human Trafficking and Migration was held from 26 – 27 August 2010, in Hanoi. The forum had a dual focus – human trafficking and child protection – and built on another successful youth forum held in 2009. The forum was jointly organised by the Vietnamese Government’s Department of Child Protection and Care, Save the Children, World Vision and the United Nations Inter-Agency Project on Human Trafficking. It was attended by 96 youth delegates from 12 different provinces in Vietnam. The recommendations developed by youth delegates focused on the prevention of trafficking and prosecution of traffickers, as well as measures to make the internet safer for young users.
